Christmas Decorating and Lantern Parade

We pulled out our decorations and decorated our Christmas tree this weekend! I love opening up that box and seeing all of the ornaments that we've collected over the years. I've got some favorites and I've got some that I want to replace too. We add to our collection every year with a special ornament. I still need to get some for this year...

On Friday, the boys and I made lanterns. Caleb had fun with the tape and glue... LOL! Lovettsville had a German Lantern Parade and we bundled up and headed over. In Germany, they have the Lantern Parade in November on Saint Martin's Day, so this wasn't a traditional Lantern Parade... But it was still fun! We walked from the Community Center to the town hall's tree for the tree lighting. We were practically freezing when we got there, so Marcus walked back with his mom to get the car while the kids and I watched the ceremony and grabbed hot chocolate. We left a little early and headed to Cici's for dinner. Yum!
